Apologies

From Last Minute
Janet had spoken to the Head Teacher at St Boswells who was happy to encourage the composite P6/7 class to enter. She agreed that we let her know just after the Easter holidays what the classes were. It was agreed to purchase geranium plugs to give out. We will need to know the number of children in both schools in the top classes. Shenagh will get the plants from 100 Aker Wood. Pam still to contact Newtown Primary. Marlyn will give a special prize – probably a token to 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places.

Adverts
These were gone though and sorted out.

Schedule
Classes for the children's section were agreed. Shenagh will take it to the printers, and have it returned to Marlyn for proof-reading by her and Pam, then returned for printing; sent back to Marlyn for distribution. Shenagh gave Marlyn a list of addresses, enveloped and stamps. The account will closely follow the Schedules. Cliff will give Marlyn the chequebook, to be able to pay for it. Receipts should be kept for anything spent. At the moment there is a balance of £426.

Community Councils
Cliff had reported to St Boswells CC and it was agreed that we should take over the Village Gardens Competition. Marlyn to have a meeting with all concerned on Wednesday 8th February to iron it out. Mention will be made in the Schedule.

Date of Next Meeting
Wednesday 24th May in the Community Centre, Newtown St Boswells.
